FAQ

How do I use trphy.com?

It starts with a contest. Do you want to have a contest on your site to see who spreads the word the most about a particular blog article, piece of art, photograph, or whatever you want, as long as it’s a URL.

How does it work?

You start by creating a contest using the URL you want people to end up at. For instance, say you want to attract people to go to http://blog.com/example/article, well you would enter that on the home page along with a passcode that you can use later on to see the stats for your site.

Once you enter that in, we’ll generate a nice link for you. This is the link that you share for people to enter your contest. We suggest that you put it on the original page that you want people to go to in the first place so you can get more contestants.

When a user clicks on that link, they are taken back to our site, where they can enter the contest. They’ll put in their email address, and we’ll give them a URL for them to share to. This link is a lot like the one you got, except when people go to that link, they’ll end up at the site you put in (In this case, it would bring people to http://blog.com/example/article). This URL that they get is contestant specific, so you’ll know who is bringing in the most traffic for you.

What can I submit?

Almost anything goes, baring it's not too adult in nature (try to keep is SFW). Any links to adult sites or affiliate sites will be deleted without warning.

I can’t remember my URL to share!

No problems! If you created a contest, you can find it by going to the Manage page and logging into your contest. You can also go to the Create a Contest page and enter the URL in. Instead of creating a new contest, it will see that you’ve already made one and give you the link you need.

If you entered into a contest, just go to that contest’s page on our site and enter your email address in. It will see that you’ve already entered, and give you the link so you can spread the word.

How can I make sure I’m not going to a malicious site?

For now, you can append an exclamation mark (!) on the end of the referral link, like http://trphy.com/rXXXX!, and you will be taken to a preview page where you can see the URL the link goes to.
We are currently investigating other strategies to keep our users safe.

I’ve forgotten my PassCode!

Sorry, I’m afraid you are out of luck here for now :\

I don't understand...

That's ok, we forgive you.
